imagine1day is a global organization and our friends in the United States wanted to support the incredible transformation we are making in Ethiopia.

In 2012 the imagine1day USA Foundation was born.

Registered as Friends of imagine1day, Inc., the imagine1day USA Foundation is a publicly supported, tax-exempt organization (Tax ID 46-0983910) organized under section 501 (c) (3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code and is eligible to receive tax deductible charitable contributions within the limits prescribed by law.

It carries out its charitable purpose by issuing grants to Imagine 1 Day International Organization, a Canadian registered charity legally registered to operate as direct implementers of education programming in Ethiopia. The imagine1day USA Foundation has an independent Board of Directors that exercises complete discretion and control over all grants made to Imagine 1 Day International Organization. Only projects approved by the Board of Directors of Friends of imagine1day, Inc. will receive funding.

Please note that, in conformance with IRS guidelines, the imagine1day USA Foundation cannot accept contributions that are earmarked or required to be distributed to the Imagine 1 Day International Organization or any other organization. The Directors of the imagine1day USA Foundation have complete discretion and control over the ultimate disposition of any contributions received by the organization. While donors may suggest that their gifts be used for a specific purpose, these requests are non-binding on the imagine1day USA Foundation. This ensures that gifts made to the imagine1day USA Foundation are tax deductible and that the imagine1day USA Foundation fulfills its duties and obligations as a U.S. tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Code. Donors may make unrestricted contributions to the imagine1day USA Foundation, and in these cases, the Directors will determine the manner in which contributed funds will be used.i1d-logo-set-USA-foundation-registered
