Objective/Goal: Equitable access to resilient and quality education and child protection services
Summary of intervention:

Emergency-affected school-age girls and boys got enhanced access to equitable, safe, and inclusive.

Learning environment is improved through the provision/rehabilitation of (TLS)/classrooms.

Establish Two Semi-permanent temporary learning spaces with two classrooms with access to children with disability.

Rehabilitate/Construct Water and sanitation infrastructure in schools/TLSs.

Learning Spaces have a functional school-management committee and/or PTSAs.

System strengthening/capacity building government &community structures, teachers, PTSA, principals, etc;

Children accessed Accelerated School Readiness (ASR) & O- a class learning opportunity.

Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) Curriculum review, adaptation, validation, printing, and distribution in line with the REB and MOE’s endorsed curriculum for Afar region.

Child Protection Case Management (for those children identified/referred) and MHPSS (which includes level 2 and 3 from MHPSS Pyramid) through structured/non-specialized PSS activities including Psychosocial First Aid (PFA) and Individual Counselling, and group activities to address psychosocial distress and trauma, peer to peer group support activities, recreational activities and life skills development for adolescents. The project will apply BETE’s approach and activities will be integrated within the ALP centers; emergency-affected people accessed protection, justice, and essential services.
