FILANGUR SCHOOL
To celebrate the life of beloved educator Irma Lyons, her friends and family funded a new primary school in Ethiopia, inaugurated in April 2017.

With no external support, parents in Sinana banded together to build schools from local materials. Their initiative caught our attention and a partnership was born.

After seeing the progress other schools were making with imagine1day, the guard looking over his community's makeshift classroom led a charge to raise funds to build a new school for the area.
