Imagine1day, Education Development Trust, and Geneva Global Ethiopia announce a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Mastercard Foundation to deliver the Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia Program, a flagship national program aiming at building stronger schools, capable teachers, and future-ready students. The Program specifically aims to improve the transition of secondary school students into tertiary education or the world of work by equipping them with relevant skills, knowledge, and attitudes.

Through system-wide and individual-level support, the Program recruits & builds the skills of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and in-service teachers, school leaders, and education officers. In Ethiopia’s 12 regions and two city administrations, Program target secondary school students take part in tutorials, career guidance, and training in 21st‑century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and digital literacy. The Program also creates opportunities for scholarships, enabling students to pursue higher education, technical and vocational colleges, and enter the workforce with confidence and competence.
